Hello I'm
Nikolaos Poulos and I maintain this weather station. Here are the current
weather conditions at Nea Zoi (district of Agia Paraskevi at This
project consists of the following parts: Weather station A set of self-contained weather monitoring
instruments for monitoring and logging local weather conditions. More
specifically, there is available information for: temperature, humidity,
barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, dew point,
windchill, UV index and light measurement. (
Unfortunately, barometer & UV
sensors are out of order ) The
station is an WH3080 model and here
are the technical features. Server The weather station has an USB socket to connect
to a computer. In this case, there is an IBM ThinkPad R52 which acts as a
server, housing the software that manages the weather data and providing this
information to the internet. The
server is running CentOS version 5, which is an
enterprise class Linux operating system. Software The WeeWX is a
free, open source, software program, written in Python,
which interacts with the weather station to produce graphs, reports, and HTML
pages. There
is also another software program, which occasionally connects to the station,
in order to retrieve & process the weather data. The Cumulus. Here
